With tribute to USDA and other government furnished information of the post war advice converting Model-Ts to tractors --"Doodle Bugs". I towed the resurrected rear-ended 2013 Nissan Leaf up to Berkshire, NY from Duluth, GA. It is now in field trials as a farm machine in Upstate NY. Despite the lack of current ground clearance it is performing well in dirt and mud. Here is a borrowed picture of a C-17 landing on the sea ice a couple of days ago. We get about two C-17 flights a week. During the summer season we have about four or so LC-130 flights to the pole a day. There will be approximately 54 C-17 flights (from New Zealand) and about 300 LC-130 flights (to the pole). There will be approximately 400 containers on the cargo ship when it arrives. Approximately 1/10 of the total cargo movement to/from the ice is done on the C-17s.

Well, I finally have a salvage title for the 2013 Nissan LEAF (Actually I dont have the title yet, but I think they mail it to me. We are far from settled with the insurance company for sure. It has been six months since Angie was rear ended. The following chart shows a very sad and disturbing trend. Insurance companies aren't paying out. It should be criminal. I went shopping for a new rear axle so I can get the car driving again. The rear ended axle was so bent, the car couldn't move. The new one with no connecting bits was over a thousand dollars. The cheapest used ones I could find on ebay were over 500 dollars. I finally scored at a local used parts place for 95 dollars (removed) and with associated bits such as bearings, bushings, parts of the brakes. The following is the webcam of the Greene airport. This is looking down rnwy 7. So you can see me taking off coming towards you (normally) on 25. I am planning on flying at 5:30 Thursday the 7th of August. I will be doing takeoffs and landings. Not surprisingly, to practice landings you have to do takeoffs. 5:30PM Thursday..
