Back on the farm in Summer

I trailered a towable man lift (bucket lift) from Georgia to New York. The thing that made it eventful is that I had to drive my truck. My 2017 Chevy 3500 HD service truck (with only 31k miles) is not my Tesla. I have grown very accustomed to the Tesla self-driving, navigation and general hi-tech luxury. The truck, although I am very fond of my truck, is stressful and expensive to drive compared to the Tesla. Being on the farm alone has been an eye opener. I had forgotten how quiet and in-nature this place is. Very occasionaly a car or plane comes by and disrupts the void, but only occasionally. It has been very reflective. It is the first time I have been up here from Georgia without a specific date I must be back for... or so it seems. "All of humanity’s problems stem from man’s inability to sit quietly in a room alone."-- Blaise Pasacal mid 1600s. I guess I am working on humanity's problems. It can take a lot out of you. I feel good about some of the pics I ha...

Well it happened. I have had 1000 blog posts spanning ten years of this life that will never happen again. Where on earth do I start? What would you do? I suppose it is a time for reflection. Please feel free to put on some music or your choice, because as I post is not my fingertips yet. I think one important thing to realize is that a whole lot of my life existed before the blog. I did a lot of growing and what not before I stated doing this. It has only been 20% of my life that I have been blogging. On one hand that is a lot. On the other hand it is not. I have also learned more about what to blog and what not to blog. I had to put in some mental filters, albeit not many. When I started blogging I did it because it was totally new. It did not exist previously. There was nothing known as social networks, wifi, wikis or twitters. Second Life did not exist. It goes on and on. The "user experience" barely existed. I am certainly not happy with google buying blogger ...

Here are a couple of pics of kudzu that ate a gas station near where I live. The kudzu is just amazing. It will relentlessly overtake and ultimately win.

I got the bad news about Amy kitty when I was in Finland. She was hit by a car. She was a real princess of a kitty. RIP Amy kitty. Amy is the Kitty on top. Animal Count: 2 chickens, 1 dog, 1 cat, 4 llamas.
I am traveling 5 out the next 5 weeks. Fortunately some of that travel includes travel to and from Berkshire, NY. I fly into NY from Wichita and out to Munich. I definitely have a lot of plates spinning. I have a few more to get spinning before the tight rope walk and the encore. Overall, it is a joy. DJ was down this past weekend. It was great having her here and having someone around to do stuff with. We went to the Shabu Shabu restaurant, the world of Coca-Cola and the Atlanta Aquarium. Not to mention a swim in the pool, the Waffle House and the Kroger. The Shabu Shabu restaurant was excellent. The service really sucked though. They seemed to really be put off by having two round-eyes as customers. Too bad. I am sure we will go back unless we find another Shabu Shabu restaurant where the service is better. The Asian population in some of the areas North of Atlanta exceeds 60%. The world of Coca-Cola was fun. They had a great 4-D movie about coke. Interestingly, I ccaanntt seem...
