Back to the "Deep South" in Duluth GA

I get a kick out of hearing the term "Deep South" in 2026. It is a crazy incredibly outdated label. I think maybe I should start saying the "Deep Northeast". I am a Yankee. My family came over on the Mayflower and moved to Upstate NY via Connecticut. Terms used in the revolutionary and Civil war days are generally inappropriate. My family is all but totally out of NY State now. I find the term "deep south" to be of the same thinking that the movie "Heidi" is what contemporary Europe is like. Watching the fireworks in Rochester, NY from the back yard of a house in the city made it look like a real war zone. It is a long drive between Berkshire, NY and Duluth, GA. Most of the 35K miles on the truck were spent in between. I drove the truck about 3k miles in 2-1/2 weeks. It was great to spend time on the farm. Llamapaedia: Wool: Shearing Llama haircut day! All the llamas behaved reasonably well. The llamas have come a long way from the wild way they were when we got them. The shearer-guy said they were well behaved and complemented on how well they were halter trained. Click pic for video

Berkshire I went to my first Berkshire Town Planning Board Meeting last night. There are four of us on the board and our role is to help the town board with recommended legislation and other efforts to improve the town. We don't meet that often (once a month), but we agreed that we will communicate via e-mail over the summer.

It is summer, or close enough, to blog. I am too busy having a life. I worked on the barn (foundation), worked on the pig water, worked on the tractor, the subaru and took Douglas's new Honda Insight for a drive. The neighbor came over in a donkey cart. The jeep crapped out and now it is fixed. The chickens aren't laying musch. The llamas are good, but artemis still has mites. I have to get some radios together for a buyer. I have many photos in queue to post. Stop back.

The story of inhabitant in Kunugiyama Here is a photo journal of my new commute. Every other day I catch a ride from a neighbor. He lives 2 miles away through the woods. I drive my jeep through my property to the edge of it. I get out of the jeep, walf about a hundred feet to the county park trail. I then walk about a mile through the trails to my waiting ride. It is different and good.

The Hawaii Five-O Home Page More information about Hawaii Five Oh than you ever thought could be concentrated. I love this stuff. Lets all get lives... or actually let us all not have lives but share our obscure and quirky findings with everybody else! Celebrate the bizzare and obsessive/compulsive behavior in all of us!
