Angie and I are back from our Thanksgiving holiday. We visited three Mesoamerican archeology sites. 1. Tikal (Guatemala) 2. Xunantunich (Belize) and 3. Teotihuacan (Mexico). We drove to Tijuana and flew to Chetumal Mexico. Rented a car in Mexico, and drove across Belize to Guatemala. Guatemala still calls to me, confirmed. The vibe at Lake Petén Itzá was much like Lake Atitlán down south, very nice.


The leaves are Allspice Leaves. It tastes like Pumpkin Pie and makes your lips and tongue numb.

This past week I was in Milwaukee Wisconsin for a Global meeting. It was my first time spending anytime in the city of Milwaukee. It was good. Lots of bars, coffee houses similar in old factory buildings. We make some large mining equipment in Milwaukee. The size is staggering. The shovel in the pic is NOT the largest rope-shovel we make. I had fun with this pic of Gracie. I doctored it up a bit. I decided pile out my collection of boarding passes from the last 15 years. It is certainly not all of them and there are a few randow receipts besides airlines in there but it is most airline boarding passes. I just noticed today that they dont have the year listed, just Month and Day. I am sure with forenscis we could figure it out, but it was easy to remember what year it was I took the particualr flight. Busy Busy Busy. I am working on getting a new strategy on getting stuff done. The busy way isn't very good.

Waiting and reacting to requests/emergencies and attention getters is not the way. I am refocusing on what needs to get done from my agenda not yours. Sorry, but I know this is a better technique for my personal productivity. Darryl Hudec's home built plane made the cover of Sport Aviation magazine this month. It is a beauty for sure. He flew it in for breakfast this weekend. We had Major Latessa Meader speak at the aviation breakfast this weekend regarding the C-130 aircraft. She is very accomplished in the aircraft. The aircraft is definately worthy of accolades. I had the opportunity to add my experiences with the LC-130 in Antarctica. Some of the traffic I get to expereince a couple times a week is still mind boggling to me. I tried to take a picture of the humanity that lines up on I-75 and often pokes along at 1/10 of the speed limit. You can't see all the lanes in the pic, but it is at least 9. the Tesla FSD helps. Well there has been some significant progress on DJs store. She still doesn't have a grand opening date. So far lots of vacuuming and many trips to the dump and the scrap yard. I am amazed at how much stuff I have laying around here that can be used for this project. My goal is to have less stuff around here as part of this project not more. I put a toilet in. Of course the new toilet is at the other end of the building from the sewer line. The basement is a scary thing. I remember doing this kind of work before in my rental property years ago crawling around oil tanks and up in the joists. It is downright unpleasant. If you don't like dampness and spiders it would make it that much worse. I can't say I like it. I like it best when it is over. I have a bit more drain work to do once we move a couple of walls. The outside is being painted local historic colors per the local historical society.

In about 10 hours I am headed back to Duluth. I had a great meal last night of Rain deer and Blue cheese ice cream. It is absolutely true. In the last two weeks I have been in the following cities in the following order (listed without countries) for specific reasons: Duluth--Atlanta--Roissy--Beauvais--Roissy--Birmingham--Kennilworth--Stoneleigh--Kennilworth--Stoneleigh--Banbury--Stoneleigh--Kennilworth--Knowle--Kennilworth --Cosford--Birmingham--Kennilworth--Birmingham--Roissy--Vannta--Tikkakosken--Jyvaskyla--Linnavuori--Tampere--Jyvaskyla--Suolahti--Jyvaskyla--Suolahti--Jyvaskyla--Tikkakosken--Vannta--Roissy--Atlanta--Duluth That makes 36 significant destinations in 12 days or 3 cities per day. The shortest travel time between any of these was about 20 minutes by car, the longest about 8 hours in the air. There were a whole lot of meetings and discussions. Finland is nice.
