4th of July - Camping, Deer Babies, Wake Boarding

We have had a new resident. Actually there several new residents. A deer decided to have her kids in the back yard. They are here often. I can see them from my Zoom Room, so I apologize if I seem a little distracted sometimes when I am on a video call. We went canoeing and camping in South Carolina. We were exploring without a lot of planning, so you get what you expect- adventure and discovery. We stopped by the Tallulah Gorge lookout. When I rode my motorcycle through the area in the early 80's, I vowed I would come back. And I have come back-- again. I ate my traditional moon pie there as well. The Tesla is a great camper. Charge the battery, run the AC and enjoy the filtered ventilation with a nice entertainment system. Crazy. The paddleing wasn't that good. We found ourselves in Lake Keowee. I am trying to get current with my flying. It is difficult in SoCal. More difficult than I anticipated. In the last 3 years there have been as many GA crashes close by here. Here is one I just learned about very very closeby Crash Revised plan is to get current in Atlanta. Angie and I continue to explore and learn about Southern California. Sad event today. Mike Patey crashed Draco. For followers it really is quite a loss even without anyone getting hurt. I am not surprised that Mike has taken complete responsibility. I am glad he survived just because, but also so he had the opportunity to say so.

In Georgia, I have planes to fly. Currently I am a part owner of 4 planes (looking to buy more). I think we have well over 60 members. Aeroventures LLC . I miss the club. Here in California things are way different with a capital "different". One the ways things are positively different is that I have ready-access to a fantastic flight school. It is only about 2 miles away from my work and home. Sunrise Aviation Academy with chief instructor: Michael Church from MDI Films on Vimeo .

The Honda arrived in California today. The S2000 is a proper car for the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) even with Georgia plates on it.
