After much discussion and research we have determined that we have recently returned from above the Arctic Circle. It was close however, the arctic circle is not as fixed as we would like to think.

From Wikipedia: as of 30 August 2017, it runs 66°33′46.8″ north of the Equator. We took the following pics at 66 53" 74" N. More pics to follow.
