100 and Done! (Countries that is...)

Image
We are back! This last trip brought the total countries visited to 100! It is a crazy milestone. It is difficult, time-consuming and can be (IS) expensive. After I got back from Antarctica in 2007, I started thinking about it. After 2010 I was thinking about it more (as I moved from NY to Georgia) and in 2014 it had become a real goal. Between Angie and I we have been to 109 Countries. We are tied at 100 countries each. We have 9 countries different in our lists. For example, I have been to San Marino. She has not. She has been to Israel. I have not, yet. There has been some fun competition in this area. That's why we had to establish rules. 1.) Must be listed (as a country) with the US State Department 2.) Being in an airport doesn't count. You have to get through immigration somehow and not in a DMZ or a no-mans-land 3.) A passport stamp is not required. I have been to Canada, Paraguay, and Uruguay without getting my passport stamped. There are friendly borders in many places...

Angie and I are having a normal weekend. We worked in the yard. Living in the South yard work is mostly about pruning and weeding. We are getting good with the requirements. We manipulate our garden as appropriate. Angie definitely has got some good pics flying. I was busy. We seem to have a neighbor who bought a Yak-52. Step 1. Get your pilots license. 2. Buy an airplane. 3. Complain about gas prices. 4. ? Notice that we have on short-final a small Cessna on the runway and a business jet waiting to take off. Normal.

This little guy is in big trouble. He is the one standing accused of eating flowers in our yard. Yikes!

We are back from NY. We did what we had on the list. We towed the Bobcat and a few other items down to Duluth. I have a couple of landscaping projects to do in Duluth. It is a long drive for sure, 16 hours worth. I can't say I like the long drive. There were at least 5 different significant slowdowns on the way up and back down, weather, traffic, accidents. The trailer performed perfectly. The AC even worked in the truck this time! There is a brand new beaver dam being built on the farm, fast. Not sure what to do about it yet. The corn is growing well and property issues are being addressed. The Dowdell Dacha/Fazenda is on plan.
My mom is not well. Things are getting worse. Fazenda: farm Part of speech: noun Example sentence:Meus avós moram numa fazenda. Sentence meaning:My grandparents live on a farm.

Angie and I went to "Food Truck Friday" in Duluth. We had lobster from a food truck. I have been meaning to take the car/airplane pic for a while.
