I was talking with a friend of mine in Russia who travels a lot. She firmly agrees that folks in the US are losing freedom everyday and she can make the comparison with their former Soviet Style of government.

It really is time to wake up in the USA. Today, US Citizens seem to be more interested in superficial things than some of the fundamentals lots of folks have given their lives for in the past.

I was in Kansas this week. Took a nice walk in the mountains, saw some puppies. Here is the New sign for my lake. I am working with the neighbors to improve the access, which is adjacent to my property.

Alpaca Forum at AlpacaNation Work has been tough on me lately. I am jam packed with meetings all day tommorrow. I have something going on in the evening from 6:00 to 9:30 and I have to get to work early to take care of some projects. It is going to be a long day... on top of that it is my birthday. West to East and back. A busy trip for sure.

Last weekend I had a quick adventure. I flew to Tampa picked up a moving truck, got it loaded up at my Brother's and drove to Atlanta and unloaded. Then flew back to SoCal. I did manage to lose the keys to the rental truck. I decided that wasn't much fun, but I am sure I learned a valuable lesson, just not sure what it was. I also managed to take down a phone line across my driveway with the truck. Opps. We had dinner with my cousins in Huntington beach while they were out this way last week. It was a great dinner in a great place (Dukes on Huntington Beach), so much to talk about. It turns out my half-niece Marina is headed to Antarctica right now. Plane Crash that seems close

We had a plane crash in the area over the weekend. I was very familiar with the plane and had met the individual that passed away. My partner was interviewed on the news about it. The different accounts I have heard is that he was a very capable pilot and perhaps a combination of bad luck events is the best way to describe it. One World Works : Taking time out Today it is back to work. Most of the folks have been away for two weeks or more. It is a new year and time for resolutions, and reflection. I already have a bid on ebay for Fawna's combings of wool (an ounce or so). It is only 2 dollars but she will be the first one of the herd to actually buy a bale o' hay. I was also thinking about the power of a journal as I keep in this blog. I don't capture everything thats for sure but it is fun to see what I was doing a couple of years ago. Things change.

I am planning a trip to Southern Africa. I am planning on Zimbabwe, Eswatini (Swaziland), Botswanna, South Africa, Lesotho, Namibia, Mozambique and Zambia. I decided to ask Chat GPT 3.5 to help direct me in the sequence of travel. The result seems to have saved a lot of my time. Let's see how that order works out as a finish booking. I am skeptical since travel efficiency on commercial airlines has little to do with a straight line being the shortest (cheapest) distance between two points.
