The Nissan Leaf on the Farm

With tribute to USDA and other government furnished information of the post war advice converting Model-Ts to tractors --"Doodle Bugs". I towed the resurrected rear-ended 2013 Nissan Leaf up to Berkshire, NY from Duluth, GA. It is now in field trials as a farm machine in Upstate NY. Despite the lack of current ground clearance it is performing well in dirt and mud. I will be skidding firewood very soon. https://journal.classiccars.com/2018/06/08/doodlebug-1923-ford-model-t-tractor/ https://www.thehenryford.org/collections/explore/artifact/188731?AssetId=THF811118

The canoe trip was something for me to tick off the list. We put in in Marathon NY and paddled down the Tioughnioga river to Whitney point. I have been looking at the river for years wanting to do it. The perspective of the world changes so much from the canoe compared to a car.

The canoe scraped a bit and we had some tricky maneuvering to do at points, but over all we increased our skill.

I drove over that bridge for ten years. It is hard to believe that this is the same bridge from my post January 2008. http://www.theguysatwork.com/blogs/uploaded_images/IMG_7835-794459.JPG
