Road Trip
I am partially through my roadtrip. I loaded up the tesla and started letting the Full Self Drive (FSD) take me to to points North. .
We had quite a bit of heavy-wet snow this week. The drifts got as big as I can remember around here. They got so big the llamas wouldn't go through them. They get nervous when the snow gets deeper than their legs are long. So I had to shovel a way through the drifts for them. Snowshoeing is on the agenda for later today.
There is a barbecue grill and a picnic bench totally hidden in that snow.

I have been working on getting fence in. I have maybe 20 more holes and the Bobcat started giving me fits. I am rebuilding the carb so I can get it done on Sunday and get the auger back to Bobcat dealer. The Tioga kitty is doing well. He has his fur growing back. The vet said if we didn't get any lumps growing back by the 4th of July he had a good chance. We don't feel any tumors. I have to give him another exam. He seems to feel ok. I think he is going to be ok. Doug, Becky and Ian stopped over for pizza. They are doing well.
After much discussion and research we have determined that we have recently returned from above the Arctic Circle. It was close however, the arctic circle is not as fixed as we would like to think. From Wikipedia: as of 30 August 2017, it runs 66°33′46.8″ north of the Equator. We took the following pics at 66 53" 74" N. More pics to follow.

Bonnie and I had an interesting experience this evening.
We heard a strange noise that stopped us mid sentance. She described it as an explosion. I described the noise as a rolling casacde as if something fell from the roof.
I took the big spotlight out to check the house, stove pipe, the barn, the llamas.
After some more discussion we figured out what the strange and unusual sound was... it turned out to be a strange noise indeed. It was the town snow plow.
I had the worst drive to work this past week. I was traveling 5 mph! down one of our hills (in neutral) and still had the antilock brakes kicking in. Just keep the machine between the ditches! We made it.
White knuckles
I got the bobcat going again and I have almost all the holes drilled. I will be taking the auger back Monday morning. I still have to assemble the fence, fashion 4 gates and generally get the job done. I am gaining on it. It is amazing what you can get done when you are not studying for a class and working a full-time job. We have our new llamas, two females named Rosey and Ultima. They settled in with the herd right away. The current animal count: 7 chickens, 6 llamas, and 2 cats. Click pic for video
