Summer Starting to End on the Farm

Image
It has been good spending time on the farm. I really had forgotten how quiet and dark it is here. It can actually be a bit unnerving. The leaf doodle bug was put to work in the forest. However, it looks like the car will be going back on the road. We can say it failed field trials, but that would only be partially true. The better utility value at this point is more suited to getting a teenager back and forth from high school. The mycological aspects of the farm did not disappoint. The pics of these shrooms are not photoshopped. The coal stove (very heavy) is loaded on the truck. It will be rebuilt in Georgia if I can save it. Coal stoves are increasingly out of production. When they are gone they are gone. The small wood stove is now in its place. The pic of the red sky in morning was indeed a warning of weather. We had strong storms and tornados in Upstate NY. Although I was travelling much that day in the area, I missed the worst of it.

Here is a pic I took a couple months back of a fire truck greeting us on the ramp. No we weren't on fire thankfully. It was the last flight for the captain before retirement. The other pic is Jackson county Airport, Georgia.

A pic from Curitiba Brazil a couple of weeks ago. I always seem to see cars upside down in Brazil.

We were up in Rochester and Berkshire, NY. It was nice to spend time on the farm. We had half a day in Rochester, here is the quick video.

I haven't posted in a long time. Too busy. Among other places I was in Brazil and Panama City Panama. I really like these South American Buses. The elevated Metro system in Panama city is moving along well since I was there 6 months ago.

Interstate 85 in Atlanta collapsed on the evening of March 30, 2017. Three sections of both the Northbound and the Southbound road had to be replaced. It was completed by May 14th 2017. We took a drive to see for myself and flew the drone for some pictures. It is indeed open and I am amazed at the cleanliness and completeness of the work. Amazing. It took less than 2 months working around the clock. Well done. If we were in NY it would have taken at least a year.

I had a few minutes this weekend between work to get these pics of Mount Palomar Observatory in California. The drone gets some credit.
