Another trip between Georgia and the New York farm

Its unusual that I make the trip this late in the year. Although it is highly unlikely it would snow (and bring the road salt and all the other bad stuff). It is often rainy. I had excellent weather. The main objective was to bring the brush hog up and mow trails. The trails have been disapearing and there are a number of bush islands appearing everywhere a small finish mower can't do the job. The tractor worked well. Back up over a multiflora rose bush with the brush hog up and drop it down and take care of business --at least for another couple of year or so. I spent many hours years ago yanking these things out of the ground with tractor and chain which yields a more satisfactory long term outcome. I will be doing the same with the largest ones for sure. I understand that these bushes were originally planted as a natural fence. Animals and humans alike don't like the thorns. They are invasive.

I am back in Atlanta. I made it into Heidelberg for a day. We met in the Heidelberg Print Media training facility on the top floor. It is a significant piece of architecture, no doubt. It could probably be considered a form of modern castle. It is the tallest building around. I had several notebooks I used for years that had an image of the facility and the Pegasus art on the cover. It was weird being there after being so familiar with my notebook image for years and years. I didn't get any time to doing anything touristy in Germany this trip. But, it was a productive trip. I will be back in other parts of Germany in two weeks. The blurry graphic is from a restaurant menu in Heidelberg. It seems to show a devil wheeling someone into a fireplace. How interesting.

I haven't been blogging much lately. Mostly, I have been too busy. A lot has been going on. I really feel this is going to be a good year. I have chnaged some fundemental approaches to some of life's problems. Stress can be successfully reframed. I am in Wichita Kansas. I call the ICT airport the biggest little airport in the country. Today's example was that I tried to check in with an hour before launch and the kiosk and customer service people indicated that is not enough. I have to take the later flight. I can make it through a huge airport like ATL with less than an hour even at peak times. No so at ICT. It is not a negative comment about the airport. It is just a comment. I am getting a lot more serious about buying a house in the Northern Atlanta area. The deals are as good as they are going to get.
