Carbon Monoxide!?

Weird The smoke alarm went off, not incredibly odd when I am using the fireplace, but it wasn't the smoke detector. It was the CO alarm. I was totally surprised. It had never gone off as long as I have had one, over many many years. Yep, after resetting it a few times. It was getting a reading over 200 ppm CO. When I took it downstairs I got a reading near 300 ppm. I started getting light headed at this point. I completed my bi-annual flight review. Good. We had a neighborhood garage sale, and we participated, made a few bucks and got the exercise and refreshed/repacked "the stuff". It was a good week. They are all good, even if I don't think so. Stay with the program! My Aunt was in town for a day. Buddy the goose has been missing. We were getting to enjoy his sassy attitude around the house. The back up camera in the leaf came in handy so I didn't run him over. I started calling the camera "The Buddy Cam". More than once I caught him flapping his wings warning me not to leave as I backed out the driveway. I am working on my IFR rating. It is requiring more focus that I originally thought it would. It will be worthwhile. Getting a pilots license is a really good thing to do, getting additional ratings is quite a natural thing to do. Being a licensed pilot is a reasonably small club worldwide. It is always fun to meet other pilots and talk planes.
