Error at Walmart

Looks like we are going to try for Mt. Terror again Monday. It may take weeks to get up there waiting for weather and willing souls.
The first picture is an area we have been blasting at to get ready for an addition to the building there. At 4:30 PM almost everyday we get the "kaboom". Blasting is also used to hunt for fossils. The fossil hunters look in very particular strata. Dynamite makes the job practical.
The second picture is observation hill here at McMurdo. I will walk up there tommorow for fun. There is a running race up and down "ob" hill on Christmas day. I may participate if my ankle feels up to it.

Back yards
I have been asked why I am not living on the farm in NY given the pics I have recently shared. One of the reasons is I have a view like this when I get up in the morning here in Duluth GA.
Pet Deer

The deer in the neighborhood have become tame, quite tame. I think we are at the point where I can train them to eat from my hand. I dont feed them, but it is clear others in the neighborhood are feeding them. I am questioning whether it is right or wrong. It is not as simple as what you might initially think. We run through loops of listening to the mezmorizing David Attenborough as he anthropomorphizes wildlife. Or what you learned as you slammed into a deer with your car. It's not that clear. The deer are not running out in front of cars in the neighborhood. They act more like the neighborhood geese, having full reign of the lawns, driveways and streets. Fawna is better but she has not yet stood up. I was out there at 2 am and again this morning at 6 am. We are going to call the vet today to see if we are doing things right.
Angie and I went flying today in N51594 from Long Beach. The planes avionics aren't that good, but the mechanical is strong. We flew out to Catalina island about 20 minutes from long beach and flew around the island. I decided not to land on this trip, no real reason, just decided to save that experience for later.
