Sometimes I feel that I wake up in an unusual or suprising situation. Maybe alone flying a plane, speaking in front of a large crowd, or sitting at a scenic place on the opposite side of the world. Today I am on my Church Vestry . We will be selecting our new rector over the next months.

Welcome to the Year of the Cat (or Rabbit)! Not sure why the Chinese New Year isn't totally discerned between Cat and Rabbit.

I am doing 3D mapping with my drone. A neighborhood lake is drained and we need sediment data for dredging/cleaning. It's pretty satisfying getting some new capabilities like these. I crashed my drone yesterday as it hit a tree on a programmed descent. I am not sure why it was 20 feet off its course. I think I have fixed the drone, but I have to test it today. It was pretty beat up for sure. I have a lot more to learn for sure.
