LavaCon 2025

Image
I spoke at the LavaCon this week. My presentation was very well received. There were well over 100 folks who chose to attend my presentation. Afterwards we had a supplier meeting in Cartersville and a hike up Pine Mountain. https://www.lavacon.org/ It was good to enjoy some brief moments with a llama as part of the conference. And it was good to meet up with lots of folks I have got to know over the years.

The following pic is from the "pre-alpha release" for the new Microsoft Flight simulator program (Sept 30, 2019). They actually use Google Earth (Bing) data for the scenery. I have tagged my SoCal home and the building I work in. We sure have come a long way from the Commodore 64 version in the early '80s. Quite impressive.

I am trying to get current with my flying. It is difficult in SoCal. More difficult than I anticipated. In the last 3 years there have been as many GA crashes close by here. Here is one I just learned about very very closeby Crash Revised plan is to get current in Atlanta. Angie and I continue to explore and learn about Southern California. What is a "Weasel" you might ask. In this case it is an 3-egg omelet covered with chili, onions and cheese. Pretty much a breakfast garbage plate.
