Comfort, that stealthy thing that enters the house a guest, and then becomes a host, then a master. And then it becomes a tamer, and with a hook and whip it makes puppets of your larger desires. -- Kahlil Gibran, Poet, Visual Artist Beware mostly of what enters the front door in daylight, not what enters secretly around back in the shadows. -- Charles Dowdell

Here is an interesting website and thought provoking idea. Our problems in the first world. One I heard a while back was "I was looking on You Tube for a song I like and I could only find the live version" First World Problems

I finished up my Authentic Leadership class last week. I think it was 15 weeks. It was fun and a learning experience. I got my passport back with more pages sewn in. I had run out of pages. These days it harder and harder to run out of pages, The US doesn't stamp it when you return anymore and there are no stamps as you travel around in the EU community (some exceptions). For the 250 USD it cost you would think they would put the pages in straight. After Easter I am headed to Southern Brazil. It is Fall in the Southern hemisphere. This is a nice time of year in Atlanta, 55 degrees at night 75 during the day. I have been flying, but haven't scheduled the checkride yet. I have decided I like my iPad. It is good when you are looking at property in the car; you can get all the stats right there while you are looking at the property. I have been taking golf lessons. Yes, I know, I can hardly believe it myself. I have decided that Golf is Yoga for Guys.

It is now pollen season in North Georgia. I am sure glad I don't have an allergy to the stuff. It gets everywhere and piles up like yellow powdered sugar. Me and the guys went to the range the other night to finally try out my 45 Caliber Kimber Pro-Crimson Carry II. It is going to take a while to get it broken in. There are quite a few ranges around. Shootin' is a family event or a opportunity to meet girls in this area. Kimber Pro Carry Crimson II
"Today I will do what others won't, so tomorrow I can accomplish what others can't." -- Jerry Rice, Football Player I have been reflecting as usual. I think it is an interesting practice we all have with labeling ourselves. I mean the one or two word lables, not the extended descriptions. the question comes up in our own head simply? "What are You?" Usually, it has mostly to do with how we spend our core hours. I have been through many. Student, Technician, Engineer, Tech Writer, Manager, Senior Manager, Global Manager and today Businessman. Think of the above quote both in an organizational sense as well as a personal sense.

It is Spring in Duluth. I don't think I saw any snow except for a couple of flakes blowing around one day. It is nice and clean compared to NY. The car got a bath today which it needed. In NY this time of year it is pointless, between the salt and sand and snow the cars stay dirty. Here is a pic crossing the alps a few weeks back.

I had the opportunity to visit the Dachau concentration camp near Munich Germany a couple weeks back over the weekend. I found the visit to be enlightening and moving. It was a solemn experience thinking about the mindset of 70 years ago and the nature of war. The thing I did not expect was that I could faintly smell rotten flesh in the crematorium -gas chamber area. Some stink never comes out I guess. "Brausebad" is "showers" where people were apparently gased with Zyklon B gas instead of geting hosed down as they thought they would be. I will be in Atlanta for the next 6 weeks (I think).
