Tucker Sno-Cat History I don't feel very motivated today or yesterday. I have school work to do and a million other things as well. I am having a hard time prioritizing. So I surf the web, and over eat. We worked with Fauna yesterday and will today. She still is having great problems. She didn't show any improvement yesterday. We have to get some meds for the other kids... they may have lice. The stainless steel spreader cam this week, and I got it on the tractor. I still have to get the right hydraulic fittings but a friend came over yesterday and gave me the dope on those things.
It's About Connectivity Not The Internet! Today is Bonnie's birthday
SINGLE to 3 PHASE CONVERTER It was busy day. Now it is off to toastmasters in Owego. I have a minor role, but we have new members. I have to be there at 7:00 pm. It was 6 degrees this morning. It sounds like it will be in the fifties this weekend. Woo Hoo!
Toaster Tech Talk This link is has instructions to turn your toaster into an internet ready bread printer. Cool
The Running Network -- Main Page Sometimes my blogger pop-up works and sometimes it doesn't. I think some websites may supress the pop-up. I am unsure of how they do that. It must be with a javascript. It is about 13 degrees today. We got a far bit of snow this weekend. Neverthe less Bonnie managed to get the chicken coop clean and the llama house. So when it gets warmer ther will be less stink. I had quite a bit of homework. It looks like it takes about 6 hours of work a week for this class. There are no further short cuts, It just takes time and concentration. A lot of new concepts for me. It is exciting to learn new things. There was neat progam about cows last night on PBS. Something as simple as a cow... who woulda thunkit? http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/
Berkshire Its a crappy day. The temperature got up in the forties which was nice, however. This morning when I left the house (still dark) I took the Subaru. The car started fish tailing when I was heading down the street. For a 4wd car.. That was pretty bad. The ice on the roads was so thick. When I got to the first of the big hills, I got out of the car and slipped. I decided I would not attempt the downhill at any speed. I turned around and made the long detour down to Maine NY and then got on the state rd 26 to go north. That is about a 15 mile detour. To top that all off deer seemed to jump out everywhere. Luckily, the car was not damaged and I got where I was going. The llamas appreciated the higher temperatures a lot. Fawna is about the same. We are hoping she will get better when the weather gets better. She sure can kick. She got the inside of my thigh today. Those feet can sure do some damage. It is bruised and cut. It is snowing right now. I think everybody has had abo
Dream Dictionary: The Meaning of Dreams I have to go into work today. I have to do performance appraisals and try and catch up. It is supposed to be 40 degrees today!!. Maybe the driveway will melt. I dreamed of a bear the other night. This website indicates that dreaming of a bear indicates victory over enemies.
Univesrsal Differential Controller Here is neat solar controller I found. It is fairly inexpensive as well. It has three inputs with adjustable hysterisis and 1 input fora flow rate sensor. When I started looking I was hoping there were standard components avaialable. It is better than it was but there is still not a wide range of products for a far-north system like we need.
I am looking at solar systems for domestic hot water. It appears the best way is to buy a Rheem/ruud (model 81V080HE1) 80 gallon water heater (electric). That water heater has a built in heat exchanger for a solar panel system. Then you use zone pumps, valves and thermostats normally used for radient heating but in reverse. That way I can have a zone that heats water from the coal stove if on, or the solar panels, if hot, or another source. Maybe the llamas give off heat...biomass. It's Wednesday. Halfway mark. We are super busy at work. We have a big event down in florida 3rd week in March. It is our International Dealer Meeting. We have it every 2 years. This year I am going. I have a booth for technical publications. Everyone seems to be working on the event in marketing.
University of Maryland University College, dedicated to adult learning and continuing education online. It is supposed to get cold tonight. It is already below zero and they are calling for minus 10. I know when they say -10 in the city it will be aleast 10 degrees colder here. I bet it will be down to -20 tonight. I didn't plug the truck in 'cause I'll take the car tomorrow. Its easier. I have a chat for school starting in a couple of minutes. We had a lot of homework this week.
Useful-items.com: Useful Llama and Alpaca Items It is 3 degrees below zero this morning. The sun is out and it is a still as it can be. Its not bad having the cold temps when there is no wind and no snow. I went to dump the stove ashes in teh drive way and I didn't even put a coat on. Its cold but its not bad out there. Well I got the comment feature working on the blog and I reformated things. It looks a lot nicer. I don't usually mess around a lot with that stuff. I like it when I see it, But I usually don't want to spend the time. The llama beans are going over well. I am claiming copyright on llama beans TM . This is a great hobby. "Hobby Marketing" I am incredibly busy at work. I guess that beats the alternative. I have some accounting homework to finish today and I want to get some stuff on eBay.
Ananova - Man gets stuck up tree trying to rescue cat Fawna stood up on her own!! Of course she fell down after she got up but she has been down since January 16th. This is the first time I have seen her stand up on her own in just short of a month! This sure has been a learning experience. It is interesting to watch the information triangulate and become knowledge. I think some of the best advice we have received was from a vet in New Berlin NY... he said, "... and lots of TLC". Fauna has taught us a lot about llamas and ourselves. She is not all better yet and we need to make sure we don't have our hopes up too high. The bottom line is that she has saved her life again. I am going to give her some more accupuncure today. It was a great sight to see her stand up for me this morning. I was so excited for her. After she fell down, I gave her a big hug on her neck.
Welcome to the Hemi-Sync? Website! - Home Just got an email from an old friend/coworker. It was a timely message. I was just thinking about the special relationships we form with people we have worked with. I intentionally mean *worked* with. The people we currently work with we take for granted. The people we no longer work with always leave a permanent impression on on us. We may not even remember their name after the years.. But you can see their face and their words and the quirky stuff they do. I am so appreciative of some of the people I have met at work (some of them have been incredibly interesting). I remember a story I read about siblings and that they have a unique relationship because they will know no other individual as long as they know their sibling. Not friends, parents, children...But brothers and sisters are stuck with each other. I find a similar uniqueness with former coworkers. The relationship is unique and worthy of recognition of being unique. I guess that

Google News Fawna is still down. the ice in the driveway is incredible. The natural spring underneath mixed with the temperatures have really created a mess.
Llama Conformation Page I don't have a lot on the list today. My homework is done. The snow is plowed. My brother called yesterday. It appears they have sold the house in CT. I will be storing his antique gravely tractor for a while. That may be just the ticket for the llama labyrinth. The gravely has a brush hog. Morning chores, llamas, chickens Get feed from feed store, They called yesterday Finalize a deal of some spread spectrum radios on E-bay(Grr) List 6 items or so on ebay for sale
Directional Drilling: Leaders in Directional Drilling I havn't blogged much this week. Fawna is slowing signs of slight improvement. However, she still cannot stand up by herself. I will give her an accupuncture treatment again today. I am also bring the temp in the llamahouse up to 80 today to see it that helps her any. We ran out of coal and wood this week. Bonnie and I agree that we really missed the stove heat. We will be back in gear this weekend with wood and coal.
Fawna is doing a little better. She still cannot get up on her own but we are hopeful she will be able. We got some more acupuncture needles (controlled in NY, I wonder if pins are..) I will give her the acupuncture treatment tonight or tomorrow.
